My partner received the poppet I made, so I thought I'd post some pictures of what I created.
I worked really hard on her and I'm pretty proud. It was hard to send her away! I changed a few things on her. I didn't add the tail, I can never get those things turned. I added toes and fingers and pointy ears. I wish I had a better picture of the wings.
I sent her a few friends too. Here's the traditional poppet half the size.
And the newest Cupcake doll!

Oh! These came out great! I love poppets. I bet your swap partner was so thrilled!
ReplyDeleteOh they are all so cute. I love Poppets:) The wings are really pretty. Did you use sparkly fabric or did you sprinkle glitter on them? I have never seen the Cupcake doll before...I must go look.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! Mary Ann..I used a sparkly fabric that I found a long time ago and I'm so happy I found a use for it. I'm really happy they turned out as I kinda 'winged' it! LOL! Broke a few needles in the process! I think I'll make them again but use a stronger wire. I used a jewelry wire but I think using a copper wire I've found at the hardware store might make them more sturdy. They were pretty bendy.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely little creatures! Your detail work is so very impressive. Your partner must be over the moon!
ReplyDeleteThese are just gorgeous!!!
