Switch to Firefox..problem solved ;0)......

Yay!  I found out what the problem was and now I can post and respond to comments. *happy dance*

No more happy dance....I still can't post on anyone's blog yet. Still trying to figure it out. Bummer.

Happy dance once again..thanks to hubbs, we think we worked around it and now I can post. Takes a bit of time but it'll be worth it...;0)

Last post on this subject and on to more crafty things...if your having problems like I had and you have Internet Explorer...download Firefox browser and dump IE!  Problem solved. ;0)  I spent way too much time trying to make it work..not worth it. Too many other fun things to do.

Frustrated..

So..I've just started this blog and all excited about it and now? Running into problems. First, I'm not able to comment on anyone's blog nor can I respond to a comment on my own. Second, now my followers don't show up. Which makes me sad.  I've emailed and asked what the deal is and they say they're working on it. Hmmmm...I hope they come up with some solutions.

EAT!

Soooo I enjoy watching a show on TV called Cougar Town..with Courtney Cox. Super funny! .."Pennny caaaann!" Anyhoots, in Jules kitchen, in the background on the wall, is the word EAT in what looks like those cardboard letters you can get at the craft store.  I wanted that for my kitchen and I thought I would share the process with you. You need those cardboard paper letters that you get at the craft store. I purchased mine at Joann's. Scissors, Mod-podge matt, exacto knife (make sure it's sharp! and be careful.)Cutting mat, paint brush for glue and fun paper.
You want to cut out the paper to fit the letters. It's super easy as it seems the letters fit pretty well on the paper. I covered the sides but you could paint that and just put the paper on the top.
Glue it to the top with modpodge..I used the matt type and when I was through I sealed the whole thing with another coat..it's looks better.
And tahdah!! Finished! Try it! It's really easy and fun.

New Camera!

So I purchased a new digital camera yesterday! I'm so excited about this, as I've been wanting one for a long time. I was wanting one that I could take closeups with as the one I have now takes very poor closeups. I'm also excited about it so I can start posting some crafty stuff with some good pictures! The digital camera I have now is 12 years old and the pictures are on the awful side. The pictures that I uploaded here were from my son's camera he graciously let me use. So, I'm excited for my new toy and the pictures I'll be able to share!

Crafty Goodness..

So! It's been sooo long since I packed up my sewing machine and other crafty goods away in anticipation of new carpet. I think close to a year. Yikes! That's how long it's been since I've crafted. But, now I'm getting involved with swaps again on http://www.craftster.org/ , Craftster, my favorite online crafty site in the world, so out come all my goodies. Ohhh, how wonderful to see them all again.
I've just finished off a M&M mini tube swap and a Matchbox swap that was a lot of fun and got me crafting again. I've just joined a Poppet swap which I'm so excited to get started on. A Poppet is a small cloth doll that ghilie, a craftster member created and so kindly shared with the rest of us. Here is a the Craftalong Thread if you want to check it out!http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.0
Went supply shopping today and I'm really excited to get started. I most definately will post my creation for my partner as soon as she receives.
I'm happy to be crafting again. ;0)

Something Different..

We were hoping to go to the Star Wars exhibit but they were sold out. So...we went up in the Space Needle instead! Here's a picture looking South...It turned out to be a beautiful day and it wasn't windy! I don't think I've ever been up there when it hasn't been so windy you could barely stand.

It was a beautiful day...a very good Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day any Mom's that may read this, I hope you enjoy the wonders of being a mother.

Mother's Day

We had a really nice Mother's Day yesterday. My Mom is a breast cancer survivor! About a month ago she had a left-sided simple mastectomy. She's recovering well. This was a shock for our family as almost exactly one year before my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer. He is a survivor as well!!!
I hate cancer.
Anyhoo, yesterday my husband and I made my Mom dinner. My Dad and sister were there as well. We had London broil and lots of veggies. I love my Mom.
Today for Mother's Day, my hubby and son are taking me to the Star Wars exhibit at the Seattle Center..for the Star Wars geek in me.
Later....

Look what we did today...spent the day at the Zoo.
This was an incredible sight to see as the Grizzly's were play fighting each other for a good half hour. They were huge! This was an enclosure that you could get right up to them. It has inch thick glass and your right next to them. They had to be at least 9 feet tall standing next to them. I would hate to meet up with a mama on a trail somewhere.
It was a great day...sunny, kinda warm. A good day!
